Stacey Morrison is proudly Te Arawa and Ngāi Tahu. A prominent figure in New Zealand media she is renowned for her contribution to Māori language revitalisation.
Over a 30-year broadcasting career, Stacey has worked as a researcher, writer, consultant, director, producer, and presenter across the spectrum of entertainment, documentary, comedy and Māori language programming.
Stacey is also the Chair of Spark Foundation, Ambassador for the Breast Cancer foundation and Ronald McDonald House.
A passionate advocate for te reo Māori, Stacey, alongside husband Scotty Morrison, is dedicated to promoting and revitalising the language. Together they have authored books, developed resources, and actively engaged with communities, schools, and organisations to promote te reo Māori. Her efforts have made a significant impact on the visibility, usage and acceptance of the language across Aotearoa.
Throughout her career, Stacey has solidified her status as a leader in her field, garnering national and international recognition, and receiving numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to broadcasting and Māori language revitalisation.
