Jane Hopkirk is the Manager of the Backbone service for Takiri Mai te Ata Collective. She is the mother of three, part of a wonderful close wider whānau with also three four legged moko.
She has had an extensive career in a range of community, mental health, workforce, urban marae and hauora settings for the last 40 years.
Recent adaptations to her skill set, thanks to her GM (but Jane is a geek), have included system administration, system user training, data analysing, contract management, management of others and any other GM directed activities.
Dabbling on the side with governance roles, as trustee and/or Chair, from school boards, iwi trusts, iwi health services, professional association, regulatory authorities, homelessness coalition, and Wairarapa DHB board.
Whānau have the answers to their own lives, and her commitment has been to support them and their whānau to flourish in and contribute to the worlds they identify with. Whānau Ora has inspired her as she has seen whānau lives transform.
