Irirangi Mako is the Director of Kōrure Whānau (Frontline Services) at Te Whānau o Waipareira. With 20 years experience in Iwi, community and government, Iri, is a committed advocate of kaupapa Māori, driving purposeful and meaningful initiatives that ensure Māori values and perspectives are central to the mahi of her teams and the whānau they serve.

With her post-graduate degree in Business, specialising in Māori Development, Iri is recognised for her excellent relationship management, building and sustaining a collaborative workplace culture and operational innovation.  Whānau motivates Iri, and outside of work she leads a very active life with her husband daughter and extend whānau.
