Taranaki, Te Atiawa
Alana is Pou Tū Kūrae, Chief Executive of Tui Ora. Alana has had an exciting career in both the NGO and the public service sectors and holds particular expertise and experience in health and social wellbeing leadership. She has held key positions in policy, commissioning and operations, at the Ministry of Health, the Ministry for Social Development, Ministry of Justice and Te Puni Kokiri, where she was the Manager for Whānau Ora Commissioning.
Prior to returning home to Taranaki to work for Tui Ora, Alana was Director of the Crown Response to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in State Care.
Alana is passionate about creating growth, operational excellence and sustainability for Tui Ora so that whānau benefit and flourish well beyond 2040.
